The club hosted its first-ever Dynamos Festival on Sunday
It was a day for the ladies at Maghull Cricket Club on Sunday. The club hosted its first-ever Dynamos Cricket Festival, with players from Maghull and Ormskirk CC taking part. The festivities included a first-ever All Girls U11 fixture for the club, replicating the first game in Maghull club history by taking on our neighbours to the North.

Just the Beginning
Dynamos Cricket provides a fantastic next step for all those graduating from All Stars Cricket. It’s the perfect introduction for all 8-11 year-olds new to the sport.
Dynamos is all about fun and provides children with a more social offer, focusing on developing the fundamental skills required to play cricket.
This has been our first year running Dynamos at Maghull. We are absolutely thrilled with how successful it has been, and how much fun all the girls have had.

It was fantastic to see so many girls getting involved on Sunday. Many talented players were on display from both clubs. There were plenty of big sixes, thumping fours and committed fielding on show. It was great to see plenty of parents and spectators enjoying the efforts of all involved!
Looking Forward
Maghull’s Junior Coordinator, Liam Gibbons, said, “It was fantastic to see so many children loving their cricket, and all of whom playing their part in something special. This is the first year we’ve offered all girls Dynamos at Maghull. It’s been fantastic to see how much fun the girls have had over the last few weeks. A massive shout out needs to go to Karen Forrest, who has taken on the Lead Activator role and led the sessions, and Zoe Dutton, who has been a great help to Karen and a fantastic role model for the other girls.”

“We hope this first cohort is something that we can grow, as we look to expand our Women and Girls section at Maghull Cricket Club. Well done to everyone who has played their part, especially the girls themselves!”
