The youngster became the youngest centurion in club history this weekend
Tadhg Bell has been named Club Player of the Week. The young left-hander was in the runs for the 4th XI, and chipped in with the ball too.
Opening the batting for the 4th XI against Winstanley Park, Tadhg scored an unbeaten 100, getting his runs from 134 balls. Before Sunday, Tadhg had never managed more than 16 in a senior game. He is the first Maghull batter to make a century in 2026, our centenary season. Also, Tadhg is the youngest player to ever score a hundred for Maghull in senior cricket. Not satisfied with this, Tadhg then took two crucial wickets to help his side defend 191 runs to pick up their first win of the season.

Maghull Director of Cricket, Paul McKenna, decides on the weekly award winner. He named Tadhg the winner after his deeds this past week. He made special mention of another great week of cricket for fellow left-hander Owen Quilliam.
4th XI captain Neil Dutton said, “An absolutely fantastic achievement. Seeing Tadhg go through the gears to go from 50 to 100 was a treat to watch. You couldn’t ask for a better day to score a hundred! He has worked really hard on his game over the last few months. It’s always great to see hard work pay off.”
Well played, Tiger, keep on roaring!
